Dear Parents and Students,
In my first ‘Message from the Principal’ I wrote to you how important for us, the education facility is that all the children enjoy school as a place where they grow, build knowledge and experience challenges.

Entering the year 2022, all schools in Hong Kong were again unable to continue face-to-face classes due to the pandemic. On the first day of our online classes, teachers conducted workshops on information literacy to draw attention of our students to several, important issues when spending time in front of computers. Students also learn exercises to rest and protect eyesight from prolonged hours in front of the monitors. On the subsequent days, teachers prepared interactive activities for online lessons to execute the curriculum of all the usual subjects. The suspension of face-to-face classes did not interrupt learning effectiveness.
In order to promote effective education, we provided several learning platforms, videos and games to fill students’ time and help with everyday challenges. In addition, through the school’s online platform, students could receive timely feedback from subject teachers. We concluded that, as a society, we use more and more computer technology and days spent online were as valuable as face-to-face classes. These online lessons matched perfectly the school’s major concern of this school year ‘to develop students’ self-learning skills and habits to enhance their learning abilities, with the aim to explore and establish valuable attitudes for lifelong learning’.

Cow Cow Rangers
Living on a beautiful island and being surrounded by cattle, we came up with an idea to use the image of our co-habitants to promote certain values and behaviors at the school campus. Cow Cow Rangers form the six virtues and character strengths in positive education.
We placed large, funny images of Cow Cow Rangers around the campus. We have been preparing programmes and games to help students understand how to implement desirable behaviour and deal with difficulties. This matches the school’s another major concern of this school year, which is to promote self-discipline and positive attitude of young learners.
School Facilities
With the development of information technology and STEM education, our school continue to upgrade hardware and software equipment, as well as resources around the campus.
We are replacing old writing boards in the classrooms with modern, interactive whiteboards. Large, LED TV screens have been installed outside of the main building. Software and hardware, like computers and monitors have been upgraded or purchased. The school wireless network is going to be upgraded to the newest standards. We hope that new facilities will help further implement a diverse curriculum and promote more effective student-centered learning.
Dear students, on the path of learning, we inevitably encounter difficulties and challenges. However, as long as we set clear goals and move towards them with determination, hard work will be rewarded. Let’s embrace everyday challenges together!
With Love,
Principal Kwok Man Lai Eve
